ABOUT
US!
Both Charlie & I were brought up with dogs. We are a small kennel & fell in love with Goldens nearly forty years ago. We got the 'show bug' back in 1991, competing with our Golden Retriever - Chester aka 'Gwyngala Ambassador'. Vicky very successfully competed in the Junior Handling classes. It was in 1996 that our first two welshie boys; litter brothers (Rolo & Blaze) came to live at 'Benoveor'.

Vicky had tremendous fun with 'Kylowen Keverne Of Benoveor' (Rolo) winning well in both Breed, KCJO Stakes & Handling classes at Championship Shows. Sadly 2009 was a very hard year for us; we said goodbye to three of our beautiful welsh boys in four months. Rolo, Blaze & Mel (Rolo's son) were all so individually special & will stay in our hearts forever.

2010 was a mixed year... January saw Brinkley our new welshie puppy come to join us at 'Benoveor'. In April Vicky 'flew the nest' taking Riggs & Emmett with her. Sadly on the last day of November we said a tearful goodbye to our special Golden 'Forrest' (Chester's one & only son); just 5 days short of his 11th birthday.
A beautiful gentleman who will never be forgotten!
Emmett missed Granny (me) so much that he came back to 'Benoveor' & loved every moment until he passed at Christmas 2016. So for the first time in well over 30 years the house seems rather empty with no Goldens to share our home.
In 2011 Brinkley's breeders Tim & Honor Harrison delighted us when they allowed 'Dalton' (from a repeat mating of Brinkley's litter) to also join us at 'Benoveor' & our love affair with 'Glenbrows' dogs began.
Vicky & I jointly own the 'Benoveor' affix. Until recently both of us had an active role within the dog community. Myself (Secretary) & Vicky (Vice Chairman) retired from our posts at 'Cornwall Gundog Club' to take on more challenging roles with 'Camborne Redruth Canine Society'. Me the Secretary & Vicky the Treasurer; where we served for several years. With family commitments taking over, we have both now retired from committee life.

Vicky has taught many juniors how to handle their dogs; two even winning their age groups at the Richmond Finals. Vicky also enjoys judging most gundog breeds at Open Level & awards CC's to the breed.
2017 saw two of our beautiful dogs gaining their UK Show Champion titles. Firstly in April our stunning Dalton aka 'Sh Ch Glenbrows Band Of Brothers For Benoveor JW ShCM' gained his crown. Hot on his heels was our beautiful Ivy aka
'Sh Ch Slapestones Hepburn For Benoveor' who stunned us by gaining her crown in October. Wow what a year!

Finally a big thank you to Charlie (the backbone of it all) ...... without whom none of this would have been possible. Charlie has for some time drawn the 'short straw' staying home to look after things while Vicky & I campaign our beautiful team.
He also has the most amazing patience to train our pups & help them blossom into the lovely well balanced dogs that they are. What a star he really is!!!

We are now just into 2019 & look forward to owning & campaigning the next generation of Welsh Springers who have been proudly bred here at Benoveor.

Please feel free to look at our website & comment if you so wish, we would love to know what you think of our team.

Kind Regards
Jan, Vicky & Charlie
